JOB TITLE:                      Refuge Manager

PERMANENT:                 Commencing September 2022

HOURS:                          36.25 hours per week Monday – Friday

SALARY:                         ¬£28-32k per annum

LOCATION:                     Blackburn, Lancashire


As the Refuge Manager you will oversee all refuge services in line with our policies and procedures. In addition, you will provide line management and support to refuge staff including absence management, supervision, case review and annual appraisals. This will include direction on complex casework issues such as child protection, management of any operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of housing management. You will oversee and support all refuge team members in risk assessment, needs assessment and support plans for all service users.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully and that the organisation’s high quality standards are maintained.

As a member of the senior management team, you will be required to be part of the management team out of hours cover. Your role is to empower service users, keeping their safety and that of their children central to our services.

We are looking for an individual who is proficient in spoken Urdu/Punjabi and is committed to providing refuge accommodation services focused on the needs of survivors.
